June Maxine Robertson

June Maxine Robertson, age 89, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020 in Monahans, TX. She was born on February 26, 1931 in Delhi, LA to John Sylvester and Katherine (Smith) Andrews.  She married Rex Robertson on December 30, 1950 in Carlsbad, NM and they shared 64 wonderful years together until his passing on September 10, 2014.

June was a member of the First Baptist Church.  She enjoyed playing games and loved to travel. She was an excellent cook and was well known for her vegetables and spaghetti. June, who was known as “Meme” by her family, was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She will be dearly missed.

June is survived by her sons: Travis Robertson of Kermit, TX and John Robertson and wife Janice of Lovington, NM; brothers: John Earl Andrews and wife Ruth of Tyler, TX and Roy Andrews and wife Mary Ann of Monroe, LA; grandchildren: Shelley, Laura, Gloria, Maegan, Lisa, Joel, and Daniel; great-grandchildren: Kyleigh, Katelyn, John, Elisabeth, Eli, Jevon, Kealan, Makayla, Dylan, and Ethan; and great-great grandchildren: Laila, Knox, Motley, Halen, and Livi.

June was preceded in death by her husband: Rex Robertson; and her parents: John and Katherine Andrews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church in Kermit, TX officiated by Dudley Mullins. Interment will follow at Kermit Cemetery. Pallbearers will include: Joel Scheible, Craig Robertson, Wesley Robertson, Chad Gray, Kelvin Robertson and Jason Hutchins.

Bobby Nolan Thompson

Bobby Nolan Thompson

Bobby Nolan Thompson, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 in Kermit, TX.  He was born September 24, 1937 to Frank and Imogene Ruth (Moss) Goforth.  Bobby married Virginia Keedle on December 14, 1962 in Kermit, TX and they shared 58 wonderful years together.

Bobby was known around town as “Bobby T”.  Bobby T loved working around the house and detailing cars. He enjoyed going to the horse races and raising his dogs. Another favorite pastime of his was going for a drive.  His family meant the world to him. Bobby T will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Bobby T is survived by his loving wife: Virginia Thompson of Kermit, TX; daughters: Donna Neatherlin of Colorado City, TX and Julie Peeler and husband Scott of Carlsbad, NM; brother: Edward Thompson and wife Murlene of Kermit, TX; grandchildren: Brandi Williams and husband Brad, Todd Thompson, Taylor Thompson, Linda Peeler, and Gavin Peeler; and great-grandchild: Madison Grenwelge.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Imogene Goforth; and son: Clitus Thompson.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 am, Friday, August 21, 2020 at Kermit Cemetery with Brother Eddie Whitefield officiating.

Mary Ann Moore Ely 2020
Mary Ann Moore-Ely

Mary Ann Moore-Ely, age 73, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020 in Odessa, TX. She was born on April 18, 1947 in Henderson, TX to William Ealy and Ruby Gordan (Whisman) Dunlap. She married Steve S. Ely in 2015.

Mary was very crafty and loved arts and crafts. She enjoyed making jewelry, sewing, and doing thread art. Mary also loved to ride motorcycles and spending time with her grandkids. She will be dearly missed.

Mary Ann is survived by son: Terry Dunlap and wife Chamaine of Andrews, TX; brothers: Richard Louis and wife Fina of Andrews, TX and Billy Dunlap and wife Deniece of Kermit, TX; grandchildren: Zachary, Casey, Brittany, Joe Michael, Amanda, Meaghan, and McKenzie; and great-grandchildren: Austin, Lyndzee, MaKaylla, Baylee, Corey, Jaycee, Abby, Raelynn, Ethan, Luke, Elliott, Claire, Logan, Erykah, and Emmy.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Steve Ely; parents: William and Ruby Dunlap; brother: Michael Dunlap; son: Jerry Dunlap; and niece: Monica Dunlap.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Family Services Funeral Chapel in Kermit, TX officiated by Steve Fosdick. Burial will follow at Jal Cemetery in Jal, NM. Pallbearers will include: Zachary Dunlap, Austin Kelton, Skyler Brooks, Jamie Rhea, Billy Dunlap, and Colten Kappes.

Richard Dee Henderson 2020

Richard Dee Henderson

Richard Dee Henderson, age 67, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020 in Odessa, TX.  He was born October 7, 1952 in Alberta, Canada to Joseph “Baldy” G. and Thelma Mae (Booker) Henderson. Richard married Alice Bird on April 8, 1983 in Crane, TX and they shared 37 wonderful years together.

Richard was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.  He enjoyed playing golf, riding motorcycles, shooting targets and dove hunting. Another favorite pastime of his was cooking out with the boys. He was known as Tootie and Stump in high school and Barney by his coworkers.  His favorite catch phrase was “Everything’s Legit”. Richard was a devoted father and grandfather who enjoyed traveling with his family and keeping tabs on his kids.  He will be dearly missed.

Richard is survived by his wife: Alice Henderson of Jal, NM; son: T. J. Wood and wife Angela of Jal, NM; daughters: Sarah Jessica Angel and husband Cesar of Jal, NM, Rebecca Diane Jamison and husband Skylar of Jal, NM, Francis Elaine Snow and husband Jeremy of Timberon, NM, Jennifer Lee Eagan-Wood and husband Blaine of Arapaho, OK; sister: Linda Milton and husband Rod of Alberta, Canada; grandchildren: Avonlea, Colton, Bailey, Michael, Tyler, Jepsey, Elliot, Emma, and Richard; and nephews: Jason Henderson and wife Robin and Joe Michael Henderson and wife Edna.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Thelma Henderson; and brother: Joseph Gary “Sam” Henderson.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am MST, Friday, September 4, 2020 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Jal, officiated by Brother Alan Speed.  Burial will follow at the Jal Cemetery.  Pallbearers will include T.J. Wood, Blaine Eagan, Skylar Jamison, Jeremy Snow, Cesar Angel, and Michael Gough. Honorary pallbearers are Bailey Wood, Colton Eagan, Jason Henderson, and Joe Michael Henderson.
