Jesse L Pritchard 2020
Jesse LeWalter Pritchard

Jesse LeWalter Pritchard, age 39, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 in Odessa, TX.  He was born September 10, 1980 in Kermit, TX to Everett Leon and Shirley Ann (Brimer) Pritchard.

Jesse was a member of the Church of God. He liked to be well dressed in fashionable clothing. His favorite hobbies included drawing, horseback riding, and playing baseball. He liked cars, motorcycles, and 4 wheelers. Jesse enjoyed going fast, especially in his mustang GT.  He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.

Jesse is survived by his father: Leon Pritchard of Kermit, TX; grandmother: Faye Brimer Southern of Andrews, TX; daughters: Taylor Lindley of Dallas, TX and Jessie Elizabeth Pritchard of El Campo, TX; and sister: Christina Pritchard of Big Spring, TX.

Jesse was preceded in death by his mother: Shirley Pritchard; and sister: Cindy Blakeney.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Gary L Richardson 2020

Gary Lee Richardson

Gary Lee Richardson, age 75, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020 in Kermit, TX.  He was born January 11, 1945 in Excelsior Springs, MO to James Edward and Zelma Ione (Lawrance) Richardson.  Gary married Marionna Lynn Chandler on August 14, 1971 in Monahans, TX and they celebrated 48 years together.

Gary was a member of the Wink Church of Christ. He loved to raise goldfish and Koi fish.  Often, Gary could be found enjoying a cup of coffee at a local restaurant while swapping stories with his many friends.  Gary enjoyed going to dirt track car races, riding motorcycles, and playing pool.  He was a sponsor of little league baseball and a Bible class teacher.  Gary was known for his truly unique sense of humor.  He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Gary is survived by his wife:  Marionna Lynn Richardson of Kermit, TX; sons:  Lonnie Richardson of Midland, TX, Michael Richardson and wife Jenny of Monahans, TX, and Jeffery Richardson and wife Katie of Midland, TX; and grandchildren:  Vanessa Richardson, Sierra Richardson, Kierra Richardson, Jordan Richardson, Kenny Richardson, and Audrey Richardson.

He was preceded in death by his parents: James and Zelma Richardson.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at the Wink Church of Christ officiated by Bro. Terry Hill.  Burial will follow at the Kermit Cemetery.  Pallbearers will include Dan Seale, Jon Chandler, Glen Wolf, Gene Mitchell, Mark Terry, and Bill Haynes. Honorary pallbearers are Henry Dawson, John Robertson, and Tommy Pipkin.

Memorial donations may be made to the Portales Children's Home.

Enedina Ramos 2020
Enedina M. Ramos

Enedina M. Ramos, age 92, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020 in Odessa, TX. She was born on May 14, 1928 in El Mulato, Mexico to Pedro and Fernanda (Guardiola) Montoya.  Enedina married Porfirio Ramos on December 25, 1952 and they celebrated 36 years together before his death in 1988.

Enedina was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses where she was a very active teacher.  She loved sharing her Faith with others. Enedina was a lifelong homemaker who was devoted to caring for her family.  Spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was very important to her.  She loved to cook, spend time caring for her plants and doing yardwork. She will be dearly missed.

Enedina leaves behind her son: Antonio Ramos and wife Irma of Artesia, NM; daughters:  Nanie Carrasco of Kermit, TX, Elsa Padgett and husband Holman of Odessa, TX, Febe Morales and husband Ross of Odessa, TX, and Rachel Lujan and husband Alberto of Odessa, TX; fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband:  Porfirio Ramos; parents: Pedro and Fernanda, and daughter:  Zoila Aguirre.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Kermit Cemetery with Heli Contreras officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Holman Padgett, Alberto Lujan, Ross Morales, Roy Pena, Christian Bejarano, Kevin Bautista, Job Valenzuela, Abraham Gonzalez, Cade Mendoza, and Michael Mendoza.

Bryan Patrick Duncan

Bryan Patrick Duncan, age 37, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020 in Odessa, TX.  He was born February 20, 1983 in Odessa, TX. His parents are Gary Charles and Donna Elise (Pearcy) Duncan.

Bryan was a member of the Kermit Volunteer Fire Department for more than 10 years. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, loved to travel, going to car shows, and hanging with his family and friends. He especially loved his children and his truck. Bryan was known for his truly unique sense of humor.  He was very social and always the life of the party. Bryan never met a stranger and always willing to try something new. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Bryan is survived by his wife: Misty Duncan of Kermit, TX; mother: Donna Duncan of Seabrook. TX; son Brody Duncan of Kermit, TX; daughter: Haley Duncan of Kermit, TX; brothers: Brandon Duncan and wife Katrina of Seabrook, TX, Chris Duncan and Matt Duncan and wife Laura, all of Midland, TX; sisters: Elyse Stricklen and husband Chris of Midland, TX and Elayne Dunn and husband Brenton of Fort Worth, TX and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father: Gary Duncan

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at the First United Methodist Church, officiated by Beth Harrington.  Burial will follow at the Kermit Cemetery.  Pallbearers will include Brandon Duncan, Duncan Fabbri, Bristen Creech, Clay Cubine, Cole Baremore, Matt Creager, Klayton Hollingshead, and Seth Worden. Honorary pallbearers are the Kermit VFD.

Francisco C. Muniz

Francisco C. Muniz

Francisco C. Muniz, age 86, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2020 in Midland TX.  He was born May 17, 1934 in San Pedro, Chihuahua, Mexico to Faustino and Maria (Corrales) Muniz.  Francisco married Agustina (Ramos) on July 30, 1952 in Ojinaga, MX and they celebrated 63 years together before being separated by her death in 2015.

Francisco was a member of the Church of Christ.  Fishing was his favorite pastime.  Francisco's hobbies included playing the accordion, guitar, and singing.  He was known to be a very hard worker.  Often, Francisco could be found enjoying a cup or two or three of coffee.  He was a very friendly man with a great love of life.  He loved being with his grandkids and playing small jokes on them.

He is survived by his sons:  Ramon Muniz and wife Martha of Kermit, TX, Jesus Muniz of Odessa, TX, Manuel Muniz and wife Maria Luisa of Kermit, TX, Jose Luis Muniz and wife Guadalupe of Kermit, TX, and Oscar Muniz and wife Glory of Midland, TX; daughter:  Zulema Morales and husband Carmelo of Odessa, TX; brother:  Oscar Muniz and wife Alicia of El Paso, TX; 25 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Agustina Muniz; parents:  Faustino and Maria Muniz; son:  Rene Muniz; daughter-in-law:  Guadalupe Muniz; 7 brothers; and 3 sisters.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, June 5, 2020 at Family Services Funeral Chapel with brother Uvaldo Herrera officiating.  Burial will follow at Kermit Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be his grandsons:  Honorary Pallbearers will be: Rene Muniz and Oscar Corrales Muniz

Cruz Elia Juarez Garcia
Cruz Elia Juarez Garcia

Cruz Elia Juarez Garcia, age 76, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2020 in Kermit. Cruz was born on May 3, 1944 in El Mulato, Chihuahua, MX to Pilar and Enedina (Lujan) Juarez. She married Pedro Garcia in El Mulato, MX on February 12, 1962 and they shared 58 wonderful years together.

Cruz was a member of the St. Thomas St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a very hard worker and a devoted grandmother and great grandmother who fought like a warrior for her family. Her favorite pastimes included sewing pillows and blankets, gardening, praying, shopping at her favorite store (Ross), and cooking for her family.  She loved to make her family apple pies, enchiladas, and bean and chile macho. Cruz will be missed dearly.

Cruz is survived by her sons: Saul Garcia and wife Martha of Kermit, TX and Ramon Garcia and wife Monica of Odessa, TX; daughters: Lilly Duran and husband Eduardo of Artesia, NM, Teresa Rubio and husband Eduardo of Lake Arthur, NM, Anna Gutierrez and husband Jose, Manuelita Garcia, and  Guadalupe Bossett and husband David,  all of Kermit, TX, Claudia Santiago and husband Ricardo of Odessa, TX; brothers: Jose Juarez and wife Elida and Antonio Juarez and wife Norma, all of Kermit, TX; sisters: Emma Polanco and Rosa Gardea and husband Jaime, all of Kermit, TX and Flora Luna and husband Enrique of Odessa, TX; grandchildren: Melissa Valenzuela, Denise Castor, Ramon Valenzuela, Beyonce Garcia, Elias Garcia, Sifredo Garcia, Mateo Garcia, Natalie Garcia Marquez, Saul Garcia, Tania Lopez, Niki Fuentes, Vivianna Salcido, Valeria Salcido, Virginia Salcido, Edgar Salcido, Alaia Duran, Juan Diego Duran, Aaliyah Duran, Esteban Duran, Eduardo Rubio III, Gerardo Rubio, Alejandro Rubio, Kenia Lujan, Kendra Sapien, Karen Gutierrez, Karime Gutierrez, Lil Ricky Santiago, Bella Trinidad Santiago, and Dre'lyn Jakai Bossett; great-grandchildren: Naileah Castor, Ivan Castor, Ethan Castor, Genesis Castor, Julian Valenzuela, Jesse Valenzuela, Delilah Valenzuela, Emvy Gonzalez, Melissa Marquez, Sebastian Saenz, Estevan Saenz, Audri Marquez, Adrian Marquez, Ellianna Marquez, Nayeli Marquez, Alexa Ramirez, Anisa Ramirez, Serenity Ruiz, Noah Sanchez, Brooklyn Runnels, Christian Runnels, Eduardo Agosto Rubio, Julian Sapien, Divina Lujan, Rey Lujan, Isaias Lujan, Scarlett Sapien, Saul Garcia, Amaya Garcia, Zacharie Lopez, and Easton Lopez.

Cruz was preceded in death by her parents: Pilar and Enedina Juarez; brother: Victor Juarez; sister: Josefina Rodriguez; son-in-law: Ramon Valenzuela; grandchild: baby Ricky Santiago; great-grandchild: Ema'lyn Runnels and two other sisters.

A private Rosary will be held on Friday, June 12, 2020 at 7:00 pm at Family Services Funeral Chapel.  A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 13, 2020 at the St. Thomas/St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kermit with Father Gleen Carpe officiating.  Burial will follow at Kermit Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Ramon Valenzuela Jr., Saul Garcia Jr., Eduardo Rubio, Edgar Salcido, Elias Garcia, Karen Gutierrez, Ricky Santiago, and Dre'lyn Bossett. Honorary pallbearers will be her entire family.

Memorials in her honor may be made to any catholic charity.

Celestino G. Martinez

Celestino G. Martinez

Celestino G. Martinez, 92, of Kermit passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020 in Kermit. Celestino was born on April 6, 1928 in Kennedy, TX to Enrique and Guadalupe (Garza) Martinez. He married Jennie Gonzales on November 14, 1947 in Monahans, TX and they shared 73 wonderful years together.

Celestino was known as "Tino" to friends and family. He loved to piddle outside doing yardwork, welding, woodwork, and much more. He worked for the City of Kermit for 28 years before he retired in 1993. Tino was a very sweet loving kind man and a devoted husband.  He loved to surround himself with his family and will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Enrique and Guadalupe Martinez; brothers: Lalo and Pete Martinez; sister: Bertha Almanza; and grandson: Alan Molinar.

Tino is survived by his loving wife: Jennie Martinez of Kermit, TX; sons: Benjamin Martinez and wife Luz of El Paso, TX, and Steven Martinez of Kermit, TX; daughters: Sally Padilla, Rosa Parker and husband Rick, Liza Berzoza and husband Victor, all of Kermit, TX, and Connie Molinar and husband Al of Carlsbad, NM; sister: Ofelia Trevino of Kema, TX; 14 grandchildren: Jennifer, Ricky, Delma, Melissa, Paula, Irene, Michael, Diane, Vanessa, Corky, Jeremy, Valerie, Krystal, and Eron; and 22 great-grandchildren:

Visitation will begin Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Family Services Funeral Chapel in Kermit, TX. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 10:00 am at Grace Temple Baptist Church in Kermit, TX officiated by Doug Bates. Interment will follow at Kermit Cemetery. Pallbearers will include: Al Molinar, Rick Parker, Victor Berzoza, Ricky Martinez, Corky Rivera, Jeremy Rivera, and Michael Padilla. Honorary pallbearers are Eron Berzoza, Adam Hernandez, Lukas Rivera, Isaiah Martinez, and Ryan Rivera.

Linda Y. Bradford

Linda Y. Bradford, age 65, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020 at her home in Kermit.  Linda was born on May 9, 1955 in Las Cruces, NM to Druel and Thelma (Hale) King.  She married Gary Bradford on August 26, 1972 in Kermit, TX and they celebrated 47 years together.

Linda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She loved making quilts for the kids and grandkids.  Her favorite pastimes included canning fruits and vegetables and making jellies. She was always prepping for the future.  She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband:  Gary Bradford of Kermit, TX; sons:  Gary Bradford Jr. and wife Catherine of Eastland, TX and Justen Bradford and wife Lauralie of Carlsbad, NM; sister:  Jerry Vic of Hurley, NM; grandchildren:  Dylan Bradford, Awbrie Brown, Samantha Bradford, Seth Bradford, Kendall Bradford, Christian Bradford and Maci Bradford;  and great-grandchildren:  Brynlee Cashion and Braxton Cashion.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents:  Druel and Thelma King; sister:  Sandy Hinton, and brothers:  Howard King and Dewayne King.

A memorial will be privately held at a later date.

Dale Eugene Cohen

Dale Eugene Cohen, age 64, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at his home in Kermit.  Dale was born on October 17, 1955in Anderson, IN to Charles and Maxine Cohen.  Dale married Cheryl (Beilke) on July 13, 2010 and they celebrated 9 years together.

Dale was a very hard working man and was a devoted Green Bay Packer fan.  He had a deep love for animals, especially dogs.  His favorites included Midnight, Daylight, and Scooter.  During his down time, Dale enjoyed relaxing and watching his favorite TV shows.

He is survived by his wife:  Cheryl Cohen of Kermit, TX; sons: Shane Dale Cohen of Kermit, TX, and Jamel Lee Cohen of Kermit, TX; daughters: Rebecca White and husband Tony of California, and Rachel Garcia of Crane, TX; and a grandchild: Calista Cohen.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents:  Charles and Maxine Cohen, and his brothers:  Charles and Michael Cohen

Brittney Nichole Manes

Brittney Nichole Manes,  age 28,  passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at her home in Kermit.  Brittney was born on May 31, 1992 in Bryan, TX to James Karm and Sherri Renee (Greathouse) .

Brittney was a devoted mother who loved being with her kids.  She was a country girl at heart and enjoyed swimming, picking berries,  and being out in the country.

She is survived by her husband:  David Schubert of Kermit, TX; mother:  Sherri “Renee” Young of Kermit, TX; son:  Zane Schubert of Kermit, TX; daughters:  Bella Jean Manes of Kermit, TX, and Zoey Renee Manes of Kermit, TX; brother:  T.J. Manes of Wink, TX; uncle: David “NASCAR” Greathouse of Wink, TX; and cousins:  Matthew Morales, Joey Morales, Israel Morales, Laura Morales, and Amber Morales.

Brittney was preceded in death by her grandmother:  Glenda Greathouse.

A memorial will be privately held at a later date.

Dillard Barrick 2020

Dillard Wayne “D.W.” Barrick

Dillard Wayne “D.W.” Barrick, age 83, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2020 in Odessa, TX.  He was born September 11, 1936 in Rubottom, OK to Bob and Sally Barrick. Dillard, who was also known as “D.W.” by his friends and coworkers, was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. He was a lifelong oil field worker who was also an amateur “HAM” radio operator.

D.W. was a very outgoing good guy who enjoyed hanging out at the café with his friends and was a big Dallas Cowboys fan. He will be dearly missed.

D.W. is survived by his ex wife: Sylvia Barrick of Kermit, TX; sons: Nathan Wayne Barrick and wife Colleen of Kings Mountain, NC and Billy Barrick and wife Georgia of Midland, TX; daughters: Kathy Hamilton of Wink, TX and Linda Jones and husband Vern of Wink, TX; grandchildren: Jasmine, Jonnett, Ryan, Nathan, Ben, Kevin, Aaron, Lauren, Chelsea, Brittany, Brandon, and Jonathan; and twelve great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Bob and Sally Barrick.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, July 6, 2020 at the Family Services Funeral Chapel officiated by Ben Barrick.  Burial will follow at the Kermit Cemetery.  Pallbearers will include Brandon Stewart, Zach Ryan, Jonathan Barrick, Billy Barrick, Aaron Barrick, and Brett Bentley. Honorary pallbearers are Vern Jones, George Sanchez, Garo Overstreet, Jerry Phillips, Joe Chance, Shane Haynes, Jack Kline, Allen Haley, Tommy Smith, Rick Holly, J.R. Compton, Harold Carter, Larry Clay, Teddy Baremore, Wild Bill Rosch, Bo Gunter, and Emma Fierro.

Memorials may be made in his honor to the Disabled American Veterans.
