For LaQuita:

When the warm wind gently hugs me,

I will think about your heart,

 Which loved with all abandon,

And held others’ souls in high regard.

When the daisies smile in summer,

 I will find your cheer,

Like sun that shines on a rainy day,

And knows little of sadness’ tears.

When I see the mighty mountains,

 I will feel your strength,

Which taught us to embrace each day,

 And appreciate life’s length.

When I hear the muted morning song,

I will recall your gentle way,

As you stayed behind but praised us on,

And prayed blessings on our everyday.

We will love you always~
